The area
Mielno lies on a narrow strip of land between the Baltic Sea and Lake Jamno. The beach is 400 metres away, the town centre a walk of about fifteen minutes, and within half an hour there is everything you need for a day out.
A beach you reach through the woods
A woodland path leads to the wide sandy beach, a walk of 400 metres with no busy roads to cross. The approach is gentle, so a pushchair or a bicycle is no trouble.
In season the beach is supervised by lifeguards. We lend sun loungers and a windbreak on site, at no charge.
The centre of Mielno and the promenade
The promenade, restaurants, ice cream parlours, a small funfair with a big wheel and a playground, all within walking distance. On summer evenings it gets lively there, while here, a few turns away, you hear only the forest.
That distance is in fact the great advantage of where we are: close enough to walk, far enough to sleep in quiet.
Around Lake Jamno
Mielno sits on a narrow strip of land between the Baltic and Lake Jamno, which is clearest from the air. Cycle paths run around the lake and let you tour the whole area without joining any busy roads.
We hire out bicycles and Nordic walking poles on site.
What else is worth seeing
The lighthouse at Gąski - twenty minutes by car, sixty-two metres tall, with a view along the whole coast.
Kołobrzeg - forty minutes. A harbour, a pier, boat trips and a spa park.
The water park in Koszalin - twenty-five minutes. Slides, pools and a sauna area. A good plan for a rainy day.
Koszalin - Chełmska Hill with its viewing tower and walking trails.
